Updated my Website!

I decided to update my website to help deal with Flash not working on mobile sites (and of course, the awesome iPad!) I was thrilled to see that my portfolio script I used (simpleviewer) updated their script to work on newer technology. I ended up using that on also on my new section showcasing some of my sketches. Let me know what you think! I am now working on a mobile version but learning some scripting and techy stuff. I did choose to use static images for my main image on my home page, which isn't high tech but until I get my mobile site up, at least there is an image rather than the Flash icon. Happy technology!

Oh, and if you are thinking, wow... Kim has done two blogs today, that is unusual. Why, yes it is. But the truth is I am just procrastinating... from working out. Ha!

The Swim Meet Sketch

Just a sketch I did while sitting at my daughter's swim meet over the weekend. I especially like the little sister who is NOT happy. Hee hee.

She got braces...

Yep. My oldest daughter is a total teenager now. Braces and all. So here's to you kiddo. For the next 18-24 months!

I LOVE pencils!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE these pencils. I found them in a little shop in Florida and had to have them! They have great sayings on them like "Oh Happy Day", "Life is Tough. I recommend getting a manicure and a really cute helmet", "Goodbye. I'm off to join the circus.", "Live imperfectly with great delight." and "Some things just require cake." LOVE them!

Inspired!

Over the last few months, I have been having so much fun with exploring my illustration style and trying new things, exploring more photoshop and illustrator tricks and... what has made me most happy is going back to my pencil sketches. That has always been my true love and how i can most express myself on paper. I read somewhere to do what you love most. So that is what I did.... I went back to what I love most! Of course, I need to throw in a little photoshop and illustrator where necessary... Just to jazz it up a bit! My portfolio and esty shop don't show this so I will update those too. I have some exciting projects in the work that I just can't share yet but will asap.
I feel like life is like a candy store. There is just SO much to do, to be inspired by. Life is just sooooo exciting! Wish there were more hours in the day, more minutes in the hour!

OMG

Okay, I admit that I am not the best at blogging on a regular basis but...seriously, Halloween?? Ok it is almost the new year and i missed a whole holiday....thanksgiving! I promise I will be better now. And that is because I now have my very own iPad. So excited!! Santa bought it for me because I was a very good girl of course! So after I spent the last few days trying to recover my password so I can blog (of course, I could of walked down a flight of stairs to my regular computer and look it up, that seemed unthinkable because why not just use the iPad and guess 20,000 times. But I gave in tonight and started up my regular computer, and who knew... Here I am blogging! So here is to a happy new year and a lot more blogs!
